The fitness journey is different for everyone, but this journey is a step towards knowing yourself, improving and being healthy. Get started, and keep your body and mind healthy.
Beginner’s Powerful Guide to Fitness: Start Your Journey Today

When starting fitness, a beginner has a lot of confusions in his mind. Have you ever wondered if we are doing the right thing? Are we going in the right direction? Can we really bring about a change? I too used to ask myself the same question in the beginning. But as I see now, fitness is not just a name for a physical change; it is a beautiful amalgamation of mental, emotional and physical changes.

When I started my fitness journey, I thought it was just about exercise and diet, but gradually I realized that fitness is a lifestyle. If you are on a fitness journey or wondering how to start, then read this guide to help you start your journey.
1. First, ask yourself the question – “Why?”

Before starting your fitness journey, ask yourself a question—”Why do I want to do this?” My journey started with this question too. Do I want to improve my health? Do I want to make my body strong and flexible? Do I want to work on my mental health? When I found the answer to this question, I realized that fitness is not just about physical strength, but it is also about increasing confidence, mental peace and overall quality of life.
2. Being physically strong

The biggest part of fitness is to make the body strong and healthy. Initially, I was very scared thinking whether I will be able to make myself fit. Will I be able to do the exercises properly? But gradually, I discovered that fitness does not come overnight. It comes gradually with regular practice. I set small goals in the first week, like jogging for 15 minutes in the morning, then gradually increased the time. Your muscles get stronger every day, as you challenge them regularly.
3. Importance of proper diet

If you are thinking of following the path of fitness, the importance of a proper diet cannot be denied. When I corrected my diet, my energy levels started changing. I included fresh fruits, green vegetables, protein, and light food in my diet. Initially, all this seemed a bit difficult to me, but later I realized that the right diet not only makes the body healthy, but also provides mental clarity. Fitness requires a balance of a healthy diet and the right exercise.
4. Mental and emotional state

I also realized that fitness makes us strong not just physically but also mentally and emotionally. It is very important to stay mentally fit as mental strength affects the body. I developed habits of meditation, yoga, and deep breathing. This made my fitness journey more empowering. Don’t look at fitness as just a physical endeavor; it is also a way to improve mental and emotional balance.
5. Be patient and consistent

The biggest lesson I have learnt in my fitness journey is that patience and consistency matter the most. No change comes instantly, and that is what I found very difficult in the beginning. But as I worked out keeping my goal in mind, I realized that change comes with time. Sometimes you expect quick results, but if you maintain consistency in your efforts, you will definitely move towards success.

6. Love yourself and enjoy your journey
The most important part of the fitness journey is loving yourself. Improving yourself is a way of building self-esteem and self-love. In the beginning, I was very critical of myself, but as I understood my journey, the more I accepted myself, the more I felt the change. Loving yourself is the most important part of fitness because it motivates you to stick to your journey.
